A Wight Island Break

A Wight Island Break

Just a short ferry ride across the Solent water lies the Isle of Wight, an island of natural beauty and many attractions it is often referred to as "England in Miniature".

This holiday takes us across the waters of the Solent and to the popular holiday destination of the Isle of Wight, but more particular the resort of Shanklin. The island is often referred to as “England in Miniature” and has become a favourite destination of our clients. We include excursions to Queen Victoria’s Palace by the sea, King Charles I’s Prison and see wonderful scenery.

Day 1

We join our coach for the journey to the south coast of England where we make our ferry crossing to the Isle of Wight, before continuing to Shanklin and our hotel.

Day 2

After breakfast we depart for Carisbrooke Castle, a medieval fortress which was a prison to King Charles I before his trial and execution. We will be able to visit the gardens, explore the medieval gatehouse and greet the Carisbrooke donkeys. Time permitting we will then visit the main town of Newport for a short break popular for its shopping.
