This new tour for 2022 sees us visit one of Scotland's beautiful regions, Ayrshire and the islands of its coast.

This new tour for 2022 sees us visit one of Scotland's beautiful regions, Ayrshire. It is full of history and beautiful countryside.

We stay in Irvine which is located on the coast and gives easy access to this part of Scotland.


From our Scottish base in Ayrshire, this holiday sees us enjoy the spectacular coastline of Ayrshire, the Birthplace Museum of the famous poet Robbie Burns and the Isle of Arran which is often called “Scotland in Miniature” and is one of the most beautiful islands you can visit, plus a visit to the Isle of Bute with Britain’s most spectacular Gothic mansion, Mount Stuart House.


Day 1

We depart from your joining point and travel north crossing into Scotland. We arrive at our hotel in time to settle in before our evening meal.


Day 2

This morning after an early breakfast we travel to Ardrossan to catch the morning ferry to the Isle of Arran and the town of Brodick. On our arrival we enjoy a scenic drive travelling through its varied scenery of Highland Glens, Rugged Mounbtains and sandy bays. We return to Brodick for a stop before joining the afternoon ferry back to Ardrossan and then we continue our journey to our hotel.

Day 3

After breakfast we travel to Alloway where we stop to visit the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum which consists of Burns Cottage where the poet was born, the Burns Monument and the Brig O'Doon bridge. After an enjoyable visit we travel back to our hotel in Irvine.

Day 4

We travel along the Ayrshire Coast to the ferry at Wemyss Bay where we make a short crossing to the Isle of Bute and our arrival we travel to the Mount Stuart House. This is Britains' most spectacular Victorian Gothic Mansion set in stunning 300 acres of gloriously maintained gardens. After our visit we travel back to Rothesay for the afternoon ferry back to the mainland..

Day 5

We say goodbye to our hotel and Scotland and begin our journey back to your joining point.



The hotel will provide entertainment on two nights during our stay.

Accommodation: Riverside Lodge Hotel, Irvine

Our three star hotel is located just outside the town of Irvine in Ayrshire.

The hotel has a relaxing lounge, Bar and Restaurant and its bedrooms are ensuite with television and tea/coffee making facilities.

The hotel does NOT have a lift but it does have some ground floor rooms.
