Morecambe, Lakes & Dales

On this holiday you can experience different views of the North West of England.

This tour stays in the seaside town of Morecambe and is an ideal base to explore the surrounding area. On this holiday we will visit the beautiful landscapes of the Lake District, the natural beauty of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the varied countryside of Lancashire.

Day 1

We leave from your joining point and travel towards Morecambe and our hotel with a lunch stop enroute.

Day 2

This morning we travel to Holker Hall set in beautiful countryside overlooking Morecambe bay where you can visit the Hall and the grounds. Later we continue to the Lakeland Motor Museum which houses over 150 cars, motorcycles and tractors.

Day 3

Today after breakfast it is a free day to explore Morecambe and its attractions.

Day 4

This morning we travel to nearby Lancaster where we give you time to explore this historic city. Afterwards we join our wide beam cruiser the "Kingfisher" for a delightful tour along the Lancashire Canal cruise enjoying an afternoon tea.

Day 5

After breakfast we leave Morecambe and travel to the North Yorkshire market town of Skipton. Today is market day and we give you time to explore the town before rejoining our coach to travel the short distance to Embsay where we join their steam train to travel to Bolton Abbey and return enjoying the Yorkshire countryside. We rejoin our coach for the journey back to Morecambe.

Day 6

Today we travel along the Lune Valley and into the Yorkshire Dales National Park and our destination Hawes. Here we stop for a break before rejoining the coach for our journey back through beautiful scenery.

Day 7

This morning we travel first to Haverthwaite in the southern Lake District where we join our steam train for the short journey to Lake Windermere. Where we catch a boat to the lakeside town of Bowness on Windermere. On arrival we give you time to explore the town perhaps visit the Beatrix Potter Museum (Cost extra) before re-joining our coach back to Morecambe.

Day 8

After breakfast we leave our hotel and Morecambe and make our journey home arriving back late afternoon.
