This holiday visits one of England’s most picturesque counties and visits some of the area’s attractions such as Sandringham House - the much loved country retreat of the Queen. You can ride the Bure Valley railways and enjoy a picturesque cruise along the Norfolk Broads. This holiday offers something for everyone to enjoy.

Day 1

We start from your joining points and travel across the differing English landscapes to Norwich and our hotel for our evening meal.

Day 2

After breakfast this morning we travel to Sandringham, the much loved retreat of Her Majesty, The Queen. The house is set in 24 hectares of stunning gardens and the museum houses collections of Royal vehicles, rare ceramics, photographs and memorabilia. We spend the day exploring the house, gardens, museum and the Visitor centre before joiing our coach for the journey back to our hotel.

Day 3

This morning we enjoy a great day out in Norfolk. Our coach will take you to Aylsham to join the Bure Valley Railway for a forty-five minute journey by steam train through picturesque countryside to the town on Wroxham. There is a short journey to the quayside where we embark on a ninety minute cruise of the popular Norfolk Broads before arriving back in Wroxham. Time permitting we travel back via the seaside resort of Great Yarmouth to our hotel.

Day 4

A visit to Norfolk would not be complete without a trip to Holkham Estate located in the stunning location on the North Norfolk coast. Our visit will include a one hour visit to the Hall, a one hour "Field to Fork" experience and a one hour visit to their walled garden. In the afternoon we enjoy a coastal drive to Cromer where there will be some free time to enjoy this classic Norfolk seaside town.

Day 5

After an early breakfast we depart from our hotel and retrace our journey back to your joining points, with a lunch stop en route.

Hotel Details: Dunston Hall Hotel, Near Norwich.

This four star Elizabethan style country house is set 150 acres of parkland.

The hotel's facilities include a gym, swimming pool and sauna, and the bedrooms are ensuite with television, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.

The hotel does have a lift.

  • An excursion to Aylsham where we join the Bure Valley narrow Gauge Railway to Wroxham, where we transfer to our boat for a cruise along the waterways.
