Pitlochry & the Enchanted Forest
On this holiday we visit the Blair Atholl Distillery, visit Dundee and the new V&A museum plus Glamis Castle the childhood home to the Queen Mother.
On this holiday we stay in Pitlochry, a lovely town located on the banks of the River Tummel and a popular holiday destination with our clients. The town is ideally situated to explore the central area of Scotland and we include excursions to RRS Discovery ship in Dundee, a guided tour of Glamis Castle, a tour and a tasting in Blair Atholl Distillery and a visit to the spectacular Sound and light show through the Woods close to the town of Pitlochry.
Day 1
We depart this morning and travel through the English countryside and into Scotland with a lunch stop on the way, we arrive at our hotel in time for our evening meal.
DDay 2
After breakfast this morning we travel to the local Blair Atholl Distillery set in moorland to the south of Pitlochry. It is one of the oldest working distilleries in Scotland where it produces the celebrated single malt whiskey which is used in the bestselling Bell's blend. We go behind the scenes to take in the process of distilling followed by a visit to the licenced bar and shop. We continue to the Atholl Palace hotel where we enjoy a cream tea before travelling back to Pitlochry. In the evening we join the coach for the short journey to Faskally Woods to view a multi award winning show with lights and sounds to create an outdoor experience to set imagination alight.
Day 3
Today is a free day to explore the attractions of the town.
B, DDay 4
This morning after breakfast we join our coach for the journey to the city of Dundee with its new waterfront and the V&A Museum. There will be time to also visit the RRS Discovery which was Captain Scott's ship and relive the hardships and triumphs of his Antarctic expedition. In the afternoon we travel to Glamis Castle for our guided tour of the childhood home of her majesty the Queen Mother. Afterwards we return to our hotel and our evening meal.
B, DDay 5
This morning we say farewell to our hotel and Scotland and travel south using the motorway network before arriving back at your joining point early evening.

A warm welcome awaits us at this hotel popular three star hotel. The hotel is located in the town centre and includes an atmospheric lounge with fireplaces, a bar and dining room decorated in the traditional style of the building.
All its bedrooms are en suite with television and tea/coffee making facilities. Rooms in the main building are served by a lift and in the garden wing there are some ground floor rooms accessed by three steps.
Entertainment: The hotel arranges two nights of entertainment on a Tuesday & Thursday.
