Suffolk Highlights

In this part of East Anglia, we visit the county associated with some of England's most famous painters who were inspired by the villages and coastline.

This holiday lets us visit this particular part of England not normally first on holidaymakers list, but has many attractions to enjoy and savor. The beautiful backdrop of the Suffolk villages have been famously brought to life by the Gainsborough and Constable landscapes. We include a guided tour of its picturesque villages in Constable Country and a visit to Bressingham famous for its gardens, Steam Museum and home to the Dad’s Army appreciation collection, plus a visit to its outstanding coastline.

Day 1

We depart this morning and travel to Suffolk and our hotel near Woodbridge, where we arrive in time to settle in before our evening meal.

Day 2

This morning after a leisurely breakfast we travel to Constable Country where we enjoy a guided tour of the area including the medieval villages of Lavenham, Dedham and Flatford Mill. After an enjoyable day we return to our hotel for our evening meal.

Day 3

After breakfast today we visit Suffolk's heritage coastline, first we visit Aldeburgh where little has changed since Victorian times. We continue to Southwold seen by many as the town that time forgot.

Day 4

This morning we depart after breakfast and travel to Bressingham steam museum and gardens. There will be time to explore its gardens, admire the traction engines or ride their narrow gauge railway. This is also home to the National Dad's Army collection which lets you wander through Walmington-on-Sea looking at the original props and vehicles from the series.

After breakfast we depart our hotel and make our return journey back to your joining points.

This four star hotel is located in the Suffolk countryside near to Woodbridge. The hotel has its own 18 hole golf course, health and leisure club with a swimming pool and sauna. It also has two bars and restaurant. All the bedrooms are en suite with a television, hairdryer, Wi-Fi and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel also has a lift.
