Always a popular destination, Tenby is located in the South West part of Wales in the lovely county of Pembrokeshire. Tenby is called the Jewel in the Crown by the locals and is one of the prettiest Welsh seaside resorts. During our stay we include visits to Picton Castle & Gardens a wonderful 700 year old stately home, explore the smallest city in Wales of St Davids and its beautiful Cathedral and the National Botanic Gardens home to a range of themed gardens under the Worlds largest single span glasshouse.
Day 1
A morning departure from your pick up point we travel through South Wales to our Hotel late afternoon.
DDay 2
This morning after breakfast we join our coach and begin our circular tour of Pembrokeshire beginning by crossing over the Cleddau Bridge before making a short stop in Haverfordwest. We continue along the coast road known for its "Seventeen Hills in Sixteen Miles"passing Newgale Pebble beach and the quaint village of Solva to St Davids. There will be time to visit the Cathedral and buy some lunch before we rejoin our coach following the Irish Sea coast to Fishguard and then returning to Tenby over the Preseli Mountains.
B, DDay 3
Today after breakfast is a free day to explore the resort of Tenby, perhaps catch the boat to Caldy Island famous for its Monastery, or just wander and admire the views.
B, DDay 4
After breakfast we travel to Picton Castle where on our arrival we are taken on a guided tour of this 700 year old medieval castle now transformed into a family stately home. The interior is impressive with elegant furniture and artworks and afterwards there will be time to explore its beautiful gardens and parkland which surround the house.
Day 5
We say farewell to the hotel and Tenby and travel by passing Carmarthen we arrive at the National Botanic Gardens. It is home to a range of themed gardens, a tropical Butterfly house and the world's largest single span glasshouse. In the afternoon we depart here and continue our journey back to your joining point.
