Torquay in the spring

Always a popular holiday destination with our clients, throughout the year Torquay offers a varied choice of attractions to visit and an ideal place to travel to other attractions in Devon.

Enjoy a short break in the English Riviera and the popular resort of Torquay, staying at the well liked Headland Hotel. During our stay we include excursions on the South Devon Railway through the River Dart valley, a visit to Buckfast Abbey and enjoy a visit to the historic city of Exeter famous for its Cathedral and shopping.  

Day 1

We depart from your joining points and travel south with a convenient lunch stop before arriving in Torquay and our hotel. We are welcomed with a cup of tea or coffee before our evening meal.


Day 2

This morning after a leisurely breakfast we join our coach for the journey to the city of Exeter. We arrive giving you time to explore the city and its attractions. Perhaps visit the Cathedral or the quayside before joining the coach back to Torquay and our hotel.

Day 3

Today after a leisurely breakfast the day is free to explore the town or just relax in the hotel surroundings.

Day 4

After breakfast we travel to Buckfastleigh set in the Devon countryside where we join a steam train which will take us on a return journey along the River Dart Valley. On our return and after a short break we travel the short distance to Buckfast Abbey. The Abbey is home to Benedictine Monks and home to the famous stained glass window. We rejoin the coach and travel back to our hotel in time to settle in before our evening meal.

Day 5

We say farewell to our hotel and Torquay and with a lunch stop on the journey, we arrive back at your joining points late afternoon.

Hotel Details: The Headland Hotel, Torquay.

This three star hotel previously entertained Russian nobility and now offers a friendly warm welcome to us and our guests who always have an enjoyable stay. The hotel, set in two acres of grounds, offers views across the bay. There are lounges to relax in or to watch the entertainment. A lift serves all its bedrooms which are en suite with television and tea/coffee making facilities.
