Winter Snowdrops

A new short break for 2020, we visit the Yorkshire countryside and the medieval city of Lincoln. Hopefully we will see the Snowdrop spectacular at one of Yorkshire's stately homes.

On this holiday we visit Yorkshire and hopefuly enjoy the Snowdrop spectacular at one of Yorkshire's stately homes, plus we visit the city of Lincoln and enjoy a guided walking tour of the city itself.

We cross the impressive Humber river bridge and stop at the Hemswell Antiques Centre once part of RAF Hemswell which was once home to the Lancaster Bomber during the second world war.

 

Day 1

This morning we travel north to Yorkshire with a lunch break enroute before we arrive at our hotel and our evening meal.

Day 2

This morning after breakfast we depart for the beautiful Burton Agnes Halls - built as a Norman Manor house in 1173 it is a house of immense charm and character. Its award winning gardens offer something for everyone. At this time of year it's the snowdrops in the woodland walk. After our visit we travel back to the town of Beverley where we make a stop. The town is well known for its 13th Century Minster. On our return to the hotel there will be time to relax before our evening meal.

Day 3

This morning we leave our hotel after breakfast and travel into Lincolnshire and across the impressive Humber Bridge which was the longest suspension bridge in the world for 17 years. Our first stop is the Hemswell Antiques Centre once part of RAF Hemswell home to the Lancaster Bomber in the Second World War. After our visit we continue to the city of Lincoln where we meet our guide for a ninety minute walking sightseeing tour of the city finishing outside the Cathedral. There will be some free time in Lincoln before joining our coach for the journey back to our hotel and our evening meal.

Day 4

After breakfast we say farewell to our hotel and Yorkshire and travel back to your joining point arriving back late afternoon.
