This holiday new for 2025 is based in the Maritime City of Dundee offers a varied collection of attractions to visit. We include excursions to the Queen Mothers childhood home of Glamis Castle, we visit the historic Captain Cooks ship the RRRS Discovery and explore the delightful towns and villages of the Fife & Angus coastline along with the Georgian Country House of Dun taken around by costumed guides.
Day 1
We join our coach for the journey through the English countryside to the Scottish borders and the town of Dumfries for our overnight hotel, where we include an evening meal.
DDay 2
After breakfast today we travel further through the Scottish countryside to our hotel for the next four nights situated on the outskirts of Dundee and our evening meal.
B, DDay 3
After breakfast today we meet our guide and travel along the coastline where we enjoy the fascinating history of the East Neuk of Fife which includes the university town of St Andrews. Here there will be a stop in the town before continuing through charming fishing villages of Pittenweem where many houses with red pantile or grey roofs are clustered around its harbour. From here we head for the lovingly restored Teasses Estate and enjoy a guided tour of its formal gardens, the walled gardens and Greenhouses. After an enjoyable day we travel back to our hotel for our evening meal.
B, DDay 4
Today after breakfast we join our coach and travel the short distance into the city centre of Dundee with its waterfront development. We first visit Captain Scott's ship RRS Discovery where you can relive the hardships and triumphs of the remarkable expedition to the Antactic. After some free time in the city we travel in the afternoon to Glamis Castle the childhood home of Her Majesty the Queen Mother for a visit and a guided tour. After an informative day we travel back to Dundee and our hotel.
B, DDay 5
This morning after breakfast we travel to the county of Angus where our first stop is the traditional seaside town of Arbroath, home to the famous "Arbroath Smokie". After a short break we travel on through Stonehaven with time to view its sandy beach and picturesque harbour. We continue to the town of Montrose where we include a visit to the House of Dun. This is an elegant Georgian country house where costumed guides lead us through its fascinating history, before we rejoin our coach for the journey back to our hotel in Dundee.
B, DDay 6
After our breakfast this morning we say goodbye to our hotel and Dundee and travel back across the Scottish Lowlands to the town of Dumfries and our overnight hotel with an evening meal included.
Day 7
This morning after breakfast at the hotel we travel back across the border into England and travel back through the English countryside with a lunch stop enroute before returning back to your joining point.

It is a three star hotel located on the outskirts of the town and its facilities include a restaurant and Bar lounge with a lift serving the rooms. The bedrooms on the first and second floors are served by a lift and have television and tea/coffee making facilities plus a bath, shower and hairdryer.
Main Stay Hotel: The Best Western Invercarse Hotel, Dundee
This three star hotel is located on the western side of Dundee is a former mansion house overlooking the River Tay. The hotel has a restaurant and bar, and its bedrooms are split over the ground and first floors and are ensuite with television and tea/coffee making facilities.
Please Note: This hotel does NOT have a lift but has plenty of ground floor rooms if required.
