Weston Super Mare Carnival

Weston Super Mare Carnival

Light up your evening and see this hugely popular glittering carnival procession with Yeomans Travel!

The Carnival has been officially running since 1881, although references to it were made as early as 1857, each float can use up to 20,00 light bulbs and floats are often over 100ft long and 30-40ft High. The Carnival procession is over two miles long and takes almost two hours to pass any point of the route.

There are various types of entries from the all singing all dancing, to the waxwork like tableaux where the participants stand motionless for the duration of the procession.

The yearly theme of each club is a closely guarded secret and not revealed until the carnival starts in November.

We also offer a view of the Carnival procession from the coach as our coach is parked on the promenade.
