Today after a leisurely breakfast it's off to Wigan Pier this morning, where on our arrival we enjoy a friendly and informative Canal Barge cruise. This is one of the largest gardening projects in Europe, where they are transforming the historic grounds of Worsley New Hall in Salford. After an informative day we travel back to our hotel and evening meal.

On our arrival we first visit the Silk Museum and Paradise Mill, which reveals the town's 300 year story as a global centre for silk production, textiles and design. In the afternoon we continue to the town of Knutsford with its links to the novel "Cranford". After a short stop we travel back to our hotel in Warrington.
