Cosy Break in Paignton

Shrug off those winter blues with a short break away on the English Riviera staying at the popular three star Queens Hotel in Paignton.

On this holiday we travel to Paignton and the popular Queens Hotel.

 

During our stay we include excursions to the House of Marbles based on a historic site with a museum and gift shop, we also visit the shopping village of Trago Mills well known in the West Country. Other excursions include a visit to Saltram House set in parkland high above the River Plym, and to the popular town of Totnes famous for having its own currency.

 

The Queens Hotel will provide entertainment during our stay which will include Bingo, a Cabaret and other entertainment.

 

This holiday is an ideal pick me up from the festive period. 

Day 1

We join our coach and travel through the English countryside with a lunch stop enroute to our resort of Paignton and our hotel, where on arrival we enjoy a tea or a coffee plus shortbread.
At 6pm we meet up for a sparkling cocktail and sherry reception before our evening meal, followed by entertainment.

Day 2

This morning after breakfast we join our coach to travel through the Devon countryside to the village of Bovey Tracey and the House of Marbles. The House of Marbles is based on an historic site of a Pottery which is now a working Glassworks with a Museum and Gift shop. We rejoin our coach and travel the short distance to Trago Mills which is set in 110 acres of countryside, where there is a garden park with landscaped gardens, tea room and shopping area. Later in the afternoon we return to our hotel for a quick quiz before our evening meal. Back at the hotel tonight's entertainment will include a cash bingo and a cabaret.

Day 3

After a leisurely breakfast you are free to explore Paignton, once a small fishing village now a well-known seaside town with its Victorian Pier, pretty harbour and parks.
After our evening meal the hotel will provide the evening's entertainment.

Day 4

Today, after breakfast we travel first to the National Trusts' Saltram House standing in rolling parkland high above the River Plym. The house is known for its magnificent decoration and in its garden you will find its 18th century Orangery and Follies. We continue back to the popular town of Totnes famous for its own currency for a break, Riverside Walk and Georgian Houses before returning back to Paignton. Before our evening meal the hotel will provide tea, coffee and cake at 4.30pm which is followed tonight by a Gala Dinner followed by Cabaret entertainment.

Day 5

After breakfast we say farewell to the hotel and Paignton and begin our journey home stopping for lunch before arriving back into Herefordshire late afternoon.

The Queens Hotel is a popular three star hotel, located on a level location a short walk from the promenade and town centre. It is a popular choice by our clients and has a Restaurant, Bar, Entertainment Lounge and small Indoor Swimming Pool. A lift serves the bedrooms which are all ensuite with television, tea/coffee making facilities.
