We visit the attractive North East of England with its history both ancient and modern at this festive time of the year.
Another NEW tour for 2025 explore the festive period in the North East of England. We stay in the historic city of Durham where there will be time to explore the city and also we include excursions to the popular Beamish Museum, a visit to the Bowes Museum and a scenic drive through the upper Teesdale Valley.
Day 1
We depart this morning and travel through the English countryside with a lunch stop on the way, we arrive at our hotel in time to settle in before our evening meal.
DDay 2
This morning after breakfast we join our coach for a full journey around the Durham Dales. We travel first via Weardale to Stanhope for a visit to the Durham Dales Centre. We continue through Upper Teesdale to the town of Barnard Castle where you can admire the Victorian & Georgian architecture. Afterwards we travel the short distance to the Bowes Museum for a visit famous for its mechanical Swan and afterwards we join our coach back to Durham and our hotel.

Today is a free day to explore the attractions of the city.
Day 4
This morning after breakfast we join our coach for the journey to the Beamish Open Air museum, the world famous museum of the North. At this time of year the museum is festively decorated so we can imagine what Christmas was like in a bygone era, along with costumed characters and possibly a ride on their tram. After an enjoyable day we join our coach for a short time before continuing back to our hotel in Durham.
Day 5
After breakfast we join our coach for the journey back home with a lunch stop before returning back to your joining point.
