We are delighted to return once again to this beautiful region of Germany. The Rhine Valley is a popular region of Germany with its steep vineyards, Castles on hilltops and pretty villages along the banks of the river Rhine. We include an evening excursion by boat to the spectacular Rhine in Flames at St Goarhausen and enjoy tasting canapes and six wines from the hotels own historic cellar. There will be excursions to the nearby town of Koblenz where the rivers Rhine and Moselle meet.
Day 1
We join our coach for the journey north across the country to Hull where we join our ferry for the overnight crossing to Rotterdam. Included on board is an evening meal and breakfast the next morning.
DDay 2
After arriving in Rotterdam, we follow the motorway network through Belgium and into Germany to the town of Boppard and our hotel, where we arrive in time to enjoy a welcome drink before settling in before our evening meal.
B, DDay 3
After breakfast today we travel by coach along the scenic Rhine Valley to the city of Koblenz. On our arrival we stop at the Deutsches Eck, this historic site is located at the meeting of two mighty rivers, The Rhine & the Moselle which also includes the equestrian memorial of King Wilhelm I. Afterwards we have included a breathtaking ride on its famous cable car across the river to the Seilbahn Bergstation offering views of the city. We return walking past the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress (Extra cost to enter) and travel back on the Festungsaufzug funicular railway back to the banks of the river Rhine before catching the small ferry across the river to your starting point. There will be further time to explore before joining our coach back to Boppard and our hotel.
B, DDay 4
Today the day is free in Boppard when you can explore this historic town and we include lunch today. Late afternoon we depart from Boppard for the cruise along the River Rhine to view the spectacular Rhine in Flames. This annual event is one of Germany's most famous spectacles with fireworks displays across the banks of the river. The boat trip will include live music and a locally themed dinner, and after an entertaining evening we arrive back in Boppard around 11pm.
B, DDay 5
This morning after breakfast we travel to the Moselle Valley and travel along its banks to the historic town of Cochem. The town is situated in the vine-clad valley slopes and has its own half-timbered houses, a medieval gate and historic squares viewed from the Reichsburg Castle. We stop in the town for some sightseeing before travelling back to our hotel in Boppard.
B, DDay 6
After breakfast today we make another local excursion to a point of interest in the local area before returning back to Boppard and our hotel.
B, DDay 7
After breakfast today we say goodbye to our hotel and Boppard and travel through Germany and into Holland for our overnight ferry from Rotterdam back to Hull. Included is an evening meal and breakfast the next morning.
DDay 8
This morning after arriving in Hull, we travel across the country back to your joining point, with a stop enroute.

Main Stay Hotel: The Bellevue Rheinhotel, Boppard
This charming four star family run hotel is located directly on the riverfront in the centre of the town, only a short walk from its pedestrian area. The hotels facilities include an indoor swimming pool, Sauna & Solarium, a cosy bar and lounge plus an outside terrace where you can sit and watch the barges and boats pass-by. All its bedrooms are ensuite with television and radio and are served by a lift.

Overnight Ferry: P&O Ferries Hull to Rotterdam and return
We include standard inside lower berth cabins for our crossings.
All cabins are with toilet and shower room, towels and bed linen, air conditioning but do not have a window.

All clients must carry a valid UK passport with at least 6 months validity left on the passport as of the date of our return journey.
Any non UK passport holders must check with the UK Home Office (For re-entry into the UK) and the French, Belgium and German Embassies to find out if their passport is valid and if any further Visas are required for this holiday. It is our clients responsibility to make sure all visas are compliant and Yeomans Tours Ltd cannot be held liable for any extra expense this might incur or for refusal to enter the relevant countries.
Travel Insurance is not compulsory but highly advisable on this holiday and we strongly recommend that it is taken out, either by purchasing our own holiday insurance or purchasing an Insurance policy which is suitable to your requirements.
