This holiday visits some of the historic attractions in the East of Ireland.
In the east of Ireland there are some of the most historic attractions just waiting to be explored.
We visit the famous Japanese Gardens and the National Stud, plus Malahide Castle, Belvedere Estate and the Tullamore Dew the home to a legendary Irish Whiskey.
There will also a day free to explore the nation's capital city of Dublin.
Day 1
This morning we travel to Holyhead where we join our ferry to Ireland. On arrival we continue to our hotel in County Meath and on our evening meal.
DDay 2
After our breakfast we travel to Kildare for a visit to the Irish Natioanl Stud where we include a guided tour and entrance to the museum. We also include a visit to the Japanese Gardens which are a monument to Eastern and Western cultures. In the afternoon we travel to Malahide Castle and gardens where we enjoy a forty minute guided tour, followed by (time permitting) a stop in the Dublin suburb of Howth. We return to our hotel in time for our evening meal.
B, DDay 3
After breakfast we join our coach and travel into their capital city, Dublin. We will give you free time to explore this city and saok up some of its unique atmosphere. Late in the afternoon after an enjoyable day we rejoin the coach for the journey back to our hotel.
B, DDay 4
Today we travel into the heartland of the country and visit the Belvedere House & Gardens which is a magnificent 160 acre lakeside estate with a fully restored Georgian Villa. In the afternoon we continue to the Tulamore Dew and its vistitor centre home to the legendary Irish Whiskey housed in an old bonded warehouse on the banks of the canal. We enjoy a fifty minute guided tour telling us their history before we enjoy a tasting. We travel back to our hotel with a warm glow for our evening meal.
B, DDay 5
An early start this morning, as we make the short drive to Dublin port to catch the ferry back to Holyhead, we enjoy breakfast onboard the ship.
On arrival in Wales we continue our journey home arriving back early evening.
