On this holiday we offer a chance to view the beautiful west coast scenery on this island hopping tour. We travel on the local ferry service which is also an appealing part of the journey offering unique panoramic views of the coastline and some more offshore islands.
Day 1
We make an early start and join our coach for the journey north through the English and Scottish countryside to Wemyss Bay for the ferry across to the Isle of Bute our base for the next two nights.
Day 2
After breakfast today we have a relaxing morning followed by a scenic tour of the island of Bute with a stop at Mount Stuart House. This flamboyant Victorian & Gothic mansion has beautiful gardens within its 300 acre estate. We continue via the Bays of Scalpsie and Ettrick before arriving back at our hotel on the island.
Day 3
After breakfast today we make the short hop from Rhubodach to Colintraive before continuing north with a stop at Inverary famous for its Jail Museum. Afterwards we travel onto the town of Oban for short stop before catching the ferry to the Isle of Mull. Soak up some of the scenery on the way before arriving for the next two nights.
B, DDay 4
Today after breakfast we join our coach for a scenic excursion around the Island of Mull. During our tour there will an opportunity to take the foot passenger ferry to the Isle of Iona which is a burial place for 48 Scottish Kings. Afterwards we continue north on the island to visit the colourful town of Tobermory before returning to our hotel.
B, DDay 5
This morning after breakfast we depart from the Isle of Mull using the ferry to the mainland with possible stops at Tyndrum or Loch Lomond before arriving at our overnight hotel in the town of Lockerbie and our evening meal.
B, DDay 6
After our breakfast this morning we say goodbye to our hotel and Scotland and travel back to your joining point with a lunch stop enroute.

Isle of Bute: Glenburn Hotel, Rothesay
It is a three star hotel built in 1892 is located in a prime position offers fabulous views of the Rothesay Bay and the Cowal Peninsula. The hotel has a bar and lounge with a lift to all floors, but steps needing to access the bedrooms. Most rooms are in the main building but if a ground floor room is required this will be in the side annex building.
Isle of Mull: Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa
This four star hotel gained its rating in 2021 and is built into a cliffside in a quiet position in Craignure. There is a comfortable lounge bar, its restaurant offers seaviews and the hotel has a pool which can used free of charge, other Spa facilities are charged for. Unfortunately due to its position the hotel does NOT have a lift and to access the rooms guests are required to negotiate a number of steps, plus they do have a couple of ground floor rooms but these incur a supplement.
Overnight Hotel: Dryfesdale Hotel, Lockerbie
A four star country house hotel set in its own acres offering stunning views. Due to the historical nature of the hotel its rooms vary in size and shape and guests are required to negotiate steps to their bedrooms. The hotel does not have a lift and its first floor rooms are reached by 15 steps. There is a comfortable bar and lounge to relax in.
