A popular short break staying in the resort of Sandown on the Island.
Always a popular destination with our clients, the Isle of Wight is a designated area of outstanding natural beauty with its beaches, scenery and royal heritage. We stay in the seaside resort of Sandown with its sandy beach, pier and zoo to explore. We include excursions to Alum Bay and take a ride on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.
Day 1
A morning departure sees us travel through the countryside with a convenient lunch stop en route before joining the ferry across to the Isle of Wight. We arrive at our hotel in time to settle in before our evening meal.
DDay 2
This morning after a leisurely breakfast we travel to Havenstreet station where we join our train for a ride through scenic countryside. There will be time afterwards to visit the station's buildings before travelling to the picturesque village of Godshill. Here we stop for a short break before rejoining our coach back to Sandown and our hotel.
B, DDay 3
After a leisurely breakfast, today is free to explore Sandown and its attractions.
B, DDay 4
After breakfast we join our coach and enjoy around the island tour. We travel along the Military Road with a stop at the Isle of Pearl attraction, before we continue along the road to Alum Bay where we stop to view its attractions and possibly view the impressive Needles. After a break we join our coach to continue the journey through the countryside to the northern seaside town of Ryde where we make a brief stop perhaps offering views viewing across the Solent. We continue back to our hotel and Sandown after an enjoyable day.
