On this holiday we enjoy our stay in the popular Lake District, from where you can enjoy its breathtaking scenery, nostalgic steam train journeys and relaxing lake cruises.
Day 1
We join our coach and travel to the Lake District with a convenient lunch stop on the way before arriving at our hotel where we are welcomed with a cup of tea or coffee.
DDay 2
After breakfast this morning we join our coach for the journey to the northern lake of Ullswater. We travel through the southern Lake District towns of Windermere and Ambleside to the town of Keswick where we stop for a lunch break. We continue our journey to Pooley Bridge on Ullswater Lake where we join our boat for a scenic sail to Glenridding where we rejoin our coach. After a short break we travel down the famous Kirkstone Pass offering magnificent views on our way back to our hotel.
B, DDay 3
This morning after breakfast we travel to the village of Haverthwaite where we join our train and travel the short distance to the southern end of Lake Windermere where we continue our journey on one of the lake steamers to the picturesque lakeside town of Bowness on Windermere. After some free time to purchase lunch and explore we rejoin our coach for the journey back to our hotel.
B, DDay 4
Today after breakfast we travel around the southern part of the Lake District National Park to the small village of Ravenglass, where we join our train for the scenic railway journey along the Eskdale Valley to the station of Dalegarth. There will be a short stop before returning by the same train back to Ravenglass where we rejoin our coach for the journey back to our hotel.

Day 5
After breakfast we say goodbye to our hotel and the Lake District and return to your joining point.

This three star hotel is set in its own grounds on the northern shore of Morecambe Bay. The hotel is traditionally decorated with original features. The bedrooms are en suite with tea/coffee making facilities.
The hotel does have a lift to all floors and also has some ground floor rooms available and we would advise if a Ground floor room is required this to be advised at the time of booking with our office.

A boat ride on Ullswater Lake for a scenic sail to Glenridding.
Train ride on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway.
