Liverpool one of England’s best known cities located on the River Mersey and home to the world famous band The Beatles. We include the fascinating and unique experience of a Taxi tour of the iconic places that shaped the lives and songs of the city’s Fab 4. Also we sail across the River Mersey on the well-known ferries as per the popular Gerry and the Pacemakers song. Plus there will be some free time to explore this unique city.
Day 1
We join our coach from your joining point and travel with a lunch stop enroute to Liverpool, where we arrive in time to settle in before our evening meal.
BDay 2
After breakfast we join our taxis and are transported back to the Swinging Sixties on an entertaining three hour Beatles taxi tour. We travel in our own private taxi driven by a local expert guide and visit some of the iconic places that shaped their lives and their songs. The highlights include their childhood homes, the famous Penny Lane, Strawberry Field and Eleanor Rigby's grave plus there will be stops for photos and refreshments. Afterwards the rest of the day is free to explore the city at your own pace.
Day 3
Today after breakfast is a free day to explore the city, the Albert Dock area and possibly visit its free museums such as the Museum of Liverpool or the Tate & Merseyside Maritime Museum offering many facts about its city and maritime heritage.
B, DDay 4
This morning after breakfast we sail on the famous Mersey Ferries for a 50 minute cruise across this mighty river. It is the best way of viewing the city's skyline and the popular Albert Dock. In the afternoon we travel to Liverpool Football club and its historic ground of Anfield. Here we enjoy a behind scenes tour showing its rich history and offering access to the Press room, the "This is Anfield" sign, Home team dressing room, the dugout and Players tunnel. We also include the Club's interactive museum.
B, DDay 5
We say farewell to our hotel and Liverpool and travel back to your joining point arriving back late afternoon.
