On this holiday you can experience different transport methods, we enjoy a cruise under the three bridges of the River Forth, visit the Royal yacht experience a train journey through the Lothian Countryside and visit the spectacular Kelpies and the amazing Falkirk Wheel.
Day 1
We travel into Scotland crossing the border at Gretna Green and continue around Glasgow to our base at Cumbernauld in time for our evening meal.
DDay 2
Today we make our journey to South Queensferry where we jopin our boat for a cruise on the Firth of Firth. The trip offers a unique view of the Forth Road Bridges. We continue into Edinburgh and make a visit to see the Royal Yacht Britannia. The vessel was home to the Royal family and a favourite when they travelled on Commonwealth visits.
B, DDay 3
After breakfast we travel Bo'ness where we enjoy a ride on the local heritage railway and visit the Museum of Scottish Railways. We continue onto another local landmark "The Kelpies". They are the world's largest equine structures towering over 100 feet each. Afterwards we continue to the nearby Falkirk Wheel the worlds' first and only rotating boat lift. After an enjoyable day out we return to our hotel.
B, DDay 4
This morning we make our way to Stirling Castle where we make a stop. In the afternoon we travel through the Trossachs National Park stopping in Callander at the visitor centre before continuing back to our hotel for our evening meal.
B, DDay 5
We say farewell to our hotel and make our journey home arriving back late afternoon.

This four star hotel is located on the outskirts of Cumbernauld midway between Glasgow and Edinburgh. The hotels facilities include a Restaurant, Lounge and bar plus a fitness centre including an indoor swimming pool and a golf course. The bedrooms are all en suite with a television, free Wi-Fi and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a lift serving all floors plus the hotel does have some ground floor rooms.
