This holiday is a popular choice with our clients as we stay in the lovely seaside town of Sidmouth, and the well liked Royal York & Faulkner Hotel. Sidmouth offers beautiful gardens, a promenade and friendly shops making it an ideal base to enjoy the surrounding area. We include a ride on the Seaton Tramway, a visit to Forde Abbey and a visit to Bicton Gardens.
Day 1
We join our coach this morning and make our way to Sidmouth making a lunch stop en route before we arrive at our hotel in time for our evening meal.
DDay 2
This morning after a leisurely breakfast we travel through the Devon countryside to Bicton Botanical Gardens. Here you will be able to explore its parkland featuring historic glasshouses, a countryside museum and a woodland railway. We travel back to Sidmouth arriving in time for our evening meal.
B, DDay 3
Today after breakfast we travel to the market town of Tiverton where we join a canal barge for a return journey along the Great Western Canal. Time permitting we travel onto Bickleigh Mill before we continue back to our hotel in Sidmouth.
B, DDay 4
After breakfast today we travel to the seaside town of Seaton, where we take a return ride on its unique narrow gauge tramway through the Axe Valley. Afterwards we continue to Forde Abbey where there will be free time to stroll around its house, gardens, plant centre and pottery exhibition. After an enjoyable day we return to Sidmouth and our hotel.

Today after breakfast, today is a free day to expore the town of Sidmouth.
B, DDay 6
After breakfast today we say farewell to our hotel and the town of Sidmouth, and begin our journey back to your joining point stopping for lunch on the way.

This popular hotel enjoys an unrivalled position on the towns elegant esplanade and offers good food, service and comfort close to the town centre. It has been run by the Hook family for more than 60 years. The hotel has a lounge bar, a café-bar and lounges to relax in. All bedrooms are en suite with a television, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities and served by a lift.
NB: We would like to advise that due to the historic nature of the building, there are a small number of steps to use on each floor between the lifts and the rooms.
