Another NEW destination for 2025 is the elegant Victorian seaside town of Southport.
Here you can explore one of the oldest Piers in the country and wander arounds its Parks & Gardens. We also include a guided city tour of Liverpool showing us its history, heritage and attractions of this great city, plus a visit to the medieval Samlesbury Hall with its history from 1325 to explore.
Day 1
We join our coach and travel through the English countryside with a lunch stop enroute to our resort of Southport. On arrival at our hotel there will be time before our evening meal.
DDay 2
After breakfast today is a free day to explore the town. Perhaps enjoy a walk along the promenade overlooking the Lake, or visit its beautiful parks and gardens. The Pier is also the second longest in the country and the oldest Iron pier in England. Stroll along its tree lined boulevards with their iron canopies plus you might like to visit its most unusual attraction The British Lawnmower Museum the only one in the world.
B, DDay 3
After breakfast we join the coach and travel to the vibrant city of Liverpool. On our arrival we enjoy a two hour guided coach tour of the city showing you its history, heritage and architecture. Afterwards there will be free time to further explore the city perhaps visit the Albert Docks, the Royal Liver building or make a return crossing across the River Mersey in its famous ferries. After an enjoyable day out we join the coach for the journey back to our hotel.
B, DDay 4
This morning after breakfast we join our coach and travel through the county of Lancashire to Samlesbury Hall. This half-timbered medieval stately home dates back to 1325 and you can visit three floors of rooms including the Kitchen, The Great Hall, The Ghost room and the Witch's Garret. Outside set among green laws are the Rosarium and Fountain Courtyard to explore. Later in the afternoon we return to our hotel.
B, DDay 5
After breakfast we say farewell to the hotel and Southport and begin our journey home stopping for lunch before arriving back at your joining point late afternoon.
