Llandudno & Scenic North Wales.

Llandudno is a unique combination of Victorian Style and Edwardian elegance, dubbed the Queen of Welsh resorts, which lies on a curved bay making it a popular destination.

Always a popular destination with our clients, Llandudno is known as the “Queen of Welsh resorts” and offers a unique combination of Victorian style and Edwardian elegance.  On this holiday you can enjoy a scenic break staying in a lovely seaside town. We include excursions to the ancestral home of the Marquess of Anglesey, a ride on a narrow gauge railway and a visit to an historical mining museum.

Day 1

A morning departure sees us travel through the countryside with a convenient lunch stop en route before arriving at our hotel in time to settle in before our evening meal.

Day 2

This morning we travel to Plas Newydd House and Gardens, the ancestral home of the Marquess of Anglesey, which sits on the shores of the Menai Strait. The house is home to a Waterloo inspired military museum and Rex Whistler's famous 58 foot fantasy landscape painting. The gardens include an Italianate terrace garden and an Australian arboretum. We continue the short distance to the town with the longest name in Europe - Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. After a short break we rejoin our coach and travel back to our hotel and Llandudno.

Day 4

We depart this morning and travel to Llanberis and join our narrow gauge steam train for a journey alongside Lake Padarn with stunning views of Mount Snowdon. Afterwards we travel the short distance to the National Slate Musuem situated on the vast site of Dinorwig quarry. Here you can travel into the past of an industry and a way of life that has chiseled itself into the very being of the country. Its workshops and buildings are designed as if the workers have just put down their tools and left for home, and altogether gives us a real insight into quarry life. We board our coach for the return journey to our hotel along the Vale of Conwy.
