We stay in the popular English Riviera resort of Torquay for the Festive Themed Break.
We stay in the popular English Riviera resort of Torquay, with its many attractions. The hotel will provide some festive themed entertainment during our stay and we include excursions to Kingswear on the illuminated train of Light, the city of Exeter and the fishing port of Brixham.
Day 1
We depart this morning and travel to Devon and Torquay with a lunch stop on the way before arriving in time to settle in before our evening meal.
Day 2
After a breakfast we travel to Exeter, an historic city where we give you time to explore the city. Perhaps visit its Quayside, historic Cathedral or look for that last minute Christmas present in its shops. Afterwards we meet our coach for the journey back to our hotel and our evening meal.
B, DDay 3
Following a leisurely breakfast you can enjoy a free day to explore the town of Torquay. We join the coach for the journey to Paignton Station where we catch the steam Train of Lights departing at 18:45 for the festive illuminated journey to Kingswear and return. The train carriages are decorated with thousands of lights both inside and out, and there are themed feature displays alongside the track. Afterwards we return to our hotel.
Day 4
This morning we travel through the county of Devon and visit the National Trust property, Killerton House. You can meander through the ground floor of the house which will be decorated with garlands, trees, decorative fireplaces and fairy lights, offering a feel-good glow of Christmas. You may also like to purchase food, drink and Christmas gifts.
B, DDay 5
This morning we say farewell to our hotel after breakfast and join our coach for the return journey back to your joining point with a lunch stop en-route.
